Michael Roloff describes himself as an occasional poet. He currently has two collections in search of publishers and his poetry and translations have been published in New York for more than 25 years. His notable translation work includes Innerworld of the Outerworld of the Innerworld and Nonsense and Happiness, both by Peter Handke and 65 poems for Nelly Sachs’ Oh the Chimneys (Farrar, Straus & Giroux). Michael is currently completing a self-analytic memoir of his German-American childhood and youth called Screen Memories. He is a Handke scholar and a member of the Seattle Psychoanalytic Institute and Society.
