Thomas Henry is a young writer from the metro NYC area whose work is infused with humor. You know what I like best about his poetry though? His voice when you hear him read. I’m going to have to get him on 15 Minutes of Poetry so everyone can hear him talk.

By Thomas Henry
if you don’t
eat that guppy
or that sandworm
or that
delicious piece of squid
because you think
it’s attached to a hook on a string
you’ll go hungry
Food for thought, indeed.
I liked how this poem captured so much in a kind of understated way. Cool piece.
Wise! Excellent poem.
