A flock of stray loves, you say,
sliding like molecules across
the full black moon of the pupil.
Flock that forgets itself.
Flock that hovers open flames,
owl’s eyes tattooed on each wing,
danger that weaves the hair of angels’
diamond-tipped chromosomes
into deep sea fishing hooks.
