on the wall. Strangely lit shadow-paths.
Of progress? Or progressing Madness?
I suspect the hand of both is responsible for these
abstract expressions of agitation. I ponder painting
over them, obliterating their evidence, decide
instead to frame my own feet. A great gilded cage,

from this sadistic pen of unrest.

I enjoyed the way you expanded “progress” in the second line. Very nice move.

    Favorite line:

    ” I ponder painting
over them, obliterating their evidence, decide
instead to frame my own feet.”

for the use of consonance and keen storytelling.

    Great work AJ.

  2. Sometimes the unrest is good and others, not so good. Vivid.

  3. Kay Middleton says:

Excellent. I especially like the idea (metaphor) of framing your own feet, and the line “sadistic pen of unrest”. You have left me thinking. Well done!
