A green apologetic
By Michael D Brown

Think hard,
If we run out of trees,
we run out of paper.
If we run out of paper,
we run out of poems.
If we run out of poems,
when we well up
with inspiration;
Breathing
deeply,
knowing
we need
air–
We choke, throats full of leaves,
pages and pages
of leaves;
Like regrets with no roots
to repent.

    This is a magnificent poem that makes us realize it’s up to us to save our trees. It goes straight to all who write poems and love letters and songs of joy. We need pages of poems like this! Thank you for sharing.

  2. Michael, I love this. Also, great logic. 🙂

  3. “Like regrets with no roots
    to repent.”

    Is a fabulous line. Love the look, sound and feel of this. Glad you had paper to pin it to.
