I Sat Among My Thoughts Today
By James G Piatt

I sat among
My thoughts today,
Watching ripples form
Upon the
Tightly woven skin
Of a silent
Pond.
I felt the noiseless
Warmth,
Of the
Brilliant sun,
That lighted my day.
Forgetting the din
Of humanity, I
Found pleasure
In the special
Day that I had found,
Amidst a
Peaceful meadow
Hidden between
The hollow of two lofty, and
Tranquil mountains
That lived
High in the azure sky, and
Where
Luminous pearl
White clouds,
Reached down
To grasp me
With sublime and
Gentle hands, eventually
Cradling me
In an infinite and
Peaceful serenity.
