In the Forest
By Raynard Darthart
I need some time to clear my mind,
So I went to a place where I could unwind.
Free from all the hurt and pain,
No people, buildings, planes or trains,
I stayed in this place all day and night,
Listening to Mother Earth bring it to light.
The howling, growling of her children as they
Attempt to destroy her; we all will pay.
So I went to a place where I could unwind.
Free from all the hurt and pain,
No people, buildings, planes or trains,
I stayed in this place all day and night,
Listening to Mother Earth bring it to light.
The howling, growling of her children as they
Attempt to destroy her; we all will pay.
If we take care of the earth, let it all grow free
The forest run wild, the way it should be.
So much truth in this poem. We need to appreciate what we have while we have it.
