The Inconsequence of Self

as my feet touch the ground
every day
and I look in the mirror
I wonder if there really is
such a thing
as the inconsequence of self

    I think there is, at least, not an inconsequential self, though I’m tempted, to feel the inconsequence of (my) self.

    We do mirror many thoughts Bobbie. I do believe there is inconsequence of self, but we have become quite adept at hiding it with big smiles, pretty stories and a “I’ll think about it later” attitude. Protecting our fragile mental balance becomes paramount. Thanks for this perceptive tome.
