Intoxication
By Jeanette Cheezum
The tilt of her head made her long hair
frame the small of her back. The kiss of
the dew tickled her feet.
He watched his neighbor smile at the
sunrise and scoop up the paper.
His mind wavered as the flimsy gown
clung to her breast and hips. Did she
know he was watching?
Always watching.
Great, but a bit scary!
Thanks, Charlene.
And the poem is intoxicating! Good portrayal in a short poem.
Thanks, Bobbie. I love noir.
“Always watching” . . . ominous and intriguing. You draw us in–well done, my friend.
