It's just poetry, it won't bite

Left Behind

Ray Sharp’s poem Six Nights was the first place winner in the First-Ever vox poetica Poetry Contest. Sometimes something ridiculous can be redeemed into something divine by way of poetry. I think that’s the case with this poem tonight.

Left Behind
By Ray Sharp

Let tonight be the last night.
It will not be the first time
my world has ended.
I have known rapture,
and believe me,
I have been left behind.

  1. How perfect to post this poem when the world was supposed to have ended and the “rapture” begun!!! I’m still here enjoying this beautiful Earth and Ray’s clever poem.

  2. I’m glad you’re still here.

Powerful. I love the short poem with a punch.
