Light Wind
By Molly Frederick

Voiceless, fearless—
breathing.
Like a stirring in the soul.
Vibrating with deep whispers,
soft discordant sounds
issue from
ancient orators lost
among the pines.
Taking their time,
they remind us
that words
cannot say
all that needs
to be said.
