In Love
By Michael Copeland

Much deeper, tender human heartedness
contributes to body it forth,
this first flush of emotion.
Profound impressions have come and gone
taken to themselves, wings,
pensively, and full of spiritual light.
A broad and deep world of thought
anchors the fervor of earlier feeling
and is tempered by character.
Rounding off the whole inspiring mood
an innocent breath to an early muse
as one emotion is paramount, that of love.
