Memorial Day
By Murray Dunlap

Today, I call Vulcan Dad
Today, I miss him
His father died in WWII
My father died in a bottle
So today, I’ll call Vulcan Dad
Out of respect for his Dad
Not the kamikaze who killed him
That has a clear tone
The bottle is a drunken mess
Vulcan, Dad, give us a fine day
I salute you both
