Nature’s Statue
By Emily Spanos

The lone ranger
Stands tall and sturdy
Embedded
From the ground up
Brown
Gray
Jagged
Rough
Blistered
Foundation.
Brightly colored verdures
Sprouted
From its plethora
Of arms and fingers
Flows silently
In the wind.
