Saltations of the generous kind
place me in a position I’m in. If
bound and bent to wreck oneself,
no agency can upraise. You can’t
live only for hat tips. There is no
peace with pendulums. Spouse,
siblings, the self are exposed to
sides. Absence or excess of inti-
macy ensues divergent frames
of reference. In the battlefield
of needs be your own cease-fire.
The rains come unasked. . . .
