Rules for Finding Feathers
By Molly Frederick

~ Walk slowly over the ground where you
believe feathers to be; look carefully
~ Wait
~ Come back later
~ Expect nothing
~ Whatever feather you find, treasure it
~ Imagine the wind and gravity harvesting
it for you
~ Believe that the bird gives up the feather
of its own volition
~ Picture yourself, tired and wind-weathered,
finished, falling to the grass
~ And how happy you are to be found

“Believe that the bird gives up the feather of its own volition”– says so much on so many levels. Thank you for sharing.
