The Searing
By Murray Dunlap

In time I would see
And be heard
How much desire can be
Pent up
And the delay
Of gratification
Sears my faith
I muster the strength
To believe in spite of it
Because of it
It hurts
My love of life is found again
My love shows me
And sears my soul
With unbound strength
And courage
Searing my place
In an earthly heaven

Strong words. Can feel the conviction in each one. Beautifully done.
