It's just poetry, it won't bite

Sense the Moment

Anna
Fuentes Alpine lives in Bergenfield, NJ, where she is sending her
children back to school with a mixture of happiness and anxiety. In her
professional life, Anna’s use of language has tended to the legal,
spiritual, and social, and in her personal life, she can frequently be
heard using her fluent and flawless Spanish to communicate with waiters
when out for tapas with her English-only friends. This poem is a
lyrical exhortation to slow down and experience the moment before it
rushes past. Aren’t these elegant words to live by?

Sense the Moment
By Anna Fuentes Alpine

Take this moment to appreciate your senses.
To see the beauty of your world.
To hear the sounds that please you.
To indulge in the smells that bring a smile to your face.
To feel the touch of those who love you.

Take this moment to appreciate your senses.
