She sashays around
The coffeehouse
In a peasant skirt
Blue as the jazz
She listens to on Sunday morning
Blue as I feel some days
Blue as a baby doll’s
Eyes
I read the

hieroglyphics
On her left hand
From a table
Far away
Her skirt is as blue
as I be

she bends her body
into the melody
