The Librarian
By Erren Geraud Kelly

I want to tell her
I don’t read as much as I once did
But I haven’t fallen out of love with
I’m just taking a break from them
I often find stories in
Other places
Like movies and music cds.
Or inside the notes of a keith jarrett piano
Something that sounds like
He spent years practicing for
But your jaw drops when
Learn he made it up
On the spot
I think I’ll tell her
She looks great
  in high heels
And that I love art house movies
Better than
Because you need people and words
To tell a story
  special effects and
I want to tell this woman, lithe and winsome
That a writer
Can write anywhere
That a big city is not the only  place
  to give birth to
Books or people
Or even
Angels like
