Washed Out
By James McGurk

Time goes fast
……………In a launder mat
……………Walk in and
……………………………..Sort out your lifestyles

Watch the suds
…………………………Bubble away old days

Then wait
……………And watch

The machines
Dry out
…………………….Used smiles

Memories in
……………A launder mat
……………………………..Never last

I like Mr. McGurk’s poem, Washed Out, very much. I think there’s a lot about life and living we can see and feel in his wise and wonderful poem!

  2. Cute! I have to admit I’ve never seen a poem about a laundromat.
