Windows
By Megha Sood
The discontinuity in my life
which raises its head out of nowhere like a hidden window
a discontentment
or a sudden desire
in the middle of a hot summer night
when the warm breeze flow and
tingle you just the right amount
a white lie gazing at you
of offering you the stolen piece of that cerulean sky
just a peek
a contentment of the sorts
a window is my naked truth strewn
between this facade of this monolithic building
where everything looks similar
but still holds its identity
when as I child I can point my fingers effortlessly
the window of my love
and could say proudly she is mine
an eternal symbol of my love
there are some tall French windows
disguised as the truth of a door
everyone is a doppelgänger these days
it’s so hard to be oneself
when you are staring outside
to find that is hidden inside you
\all along the way\
the flutter of the drapes
validates the existence of the mighty wind
a window is a sacred tale written between the two heart
bridged across the roads
a sacred promise is strewn between the souls
a window is a hobbled dream
waiting for that perfect night
to be yours.
Thanks so much for sharing and supporting my work. Much appreciated.
