It's just poetry, it won't bite

All Of Me

All Of Me
By Max Reif

Sometimes rushing
ecstatic through highlands,
sometimes flowing lazy
past a swamp.
Sometimes clear
and sometimes muddy.
Sometimes wide and full,
sometimes nearly dry.
Sometimes longing,
far, far from the sea.
Sometimes thrilled
by a sudden
scent of salt air.
I am never a single point
in time and space,
I am a river:
always at my source and destination
and everywhere in between
