Alone #2
By Jeanette Cheezum

After he left
I sat alone
I ate alone
I lay alone
And cried
Alone.

Then one day
I noticed the sun
Felt it on my face
Watched young
Lovers unite

The world
Continued to turn
Babies were born
Wars are fought
And no one cares
If I sit alone
Eat alone
Or cry.
