An Electric Touch
By Ken Allan Dronsfeld
Dance into the room
stocking feet shuffle
quick touch to the ear
the electric zapping jolt
giggles through the parlor
left upon the guarded watch
plan a wondrous escape
from another static bolt
run through the rooms
hiding safe in the kitchen
as dad stalks the house
charging socks on carpet
so ends a coolish night
in the era of the sixties
laptops were just dreams
Dad made nights fun.
