Autumn’s child
By Karen Schindler
Born in free
fall
no safety net
fall
no safety net
Scrabbling, slipping
Sliding on
the crumbling
edge
Barely balanced
The suck of the
other side
black and magnetic
Time ticking
Sharp seconds
slicing joy
from bone, heart, mind
Leftovers pared
Down to a dwindling
spark spiraling
into darkness
I sooo love the imagery in your poem, Karen, missed reading your poetry!
Rather dark but great imagery. Love this:
The suck of the
other side
black and magnetic
Very vivid imagery. Loved this!
