Bloodline
By Michael Copeland

Don’t cry for me, ladies of glory,
simply ’cause I have no destiny.
My heart will always beat as true.
You are my sisters, my blood,
the wine of my existence,
without you, I am nothing.
Your wings of hope lift my spirits
to the soaring height of condors,
riding the thermals of life.
The smiles on your faces
bring peace to my aching mind.
Love me forever, as I am yours.
