Chameleon
By Liz Farrell

So many times before I lost myself.
A relationship chameleon
Changing my colors
Modifying myself to fit the situation
Being whatever I needed to be
All this just to survive.
I have changed so many times
Green? Red? Purple?
Blue with pink spots?
With you I found my color.
The real me …
No need to blend
You encouraged me to be me
Stand out …
Bright colors against a dark backdrop.
There are so many things I love you for
For this …
I love you the most.
