Contributor Series 11: On Birthdays
Superman’s Birthday
By Kenneth Karrer
I suspended you
From the floor
By your ankles with just
One hand.
You insisted, mom would understand.
And as I cut the light
There on your ceiling fan,
You said,
“I love you dad.”
And that,
Created
Superman.

I loved this!
Thanks Monica. It’s simple, but so was the moment.
