Thelma
By Jessie Carty

Fried potato sticks. Pick-up sticks. Loser cries. Sticks and stones. Branches then bones bones bones. Words wound. Two inches deep. Open hole on the hill of a foot. From rock. From lawn mower. Jessie’s most recent poem to appear at vox poetica was Aloha, which was published in September as part of Contributor Series 6: A Currency of Words.
