Contributor Series 7: The Confessional Diary of Bone
Thelma
By Jessie Carty
Fried potato sticks. Pick-up sticks. Loser cries. Sticks and stones. Branches then bones bones bones. Words wound. Two inches deep. Open hole on the hill of a foot. From rock. From lawn mower. Do not operate without wearing shoes. But you didn’t like coats either. Instead French onion dip and potato sticks.
Jessie’s most recent poem to appear at vox poetica was Aloha, which was published in September as part of Contributor Series 6: A Currency of Words.
So glad to be part of the series!
Whimsical ditty. 🙂
