Flight

Oh, how the days thunder by–
buffalo in a painted sky.
Nor pause they now to hear
the child’s cry
or seek the story
in an old, wrinkled brow.

    I really like the way the sounds work, the “eye” sounds in the beginning and the hard “k” sounds in the end. And the continuity of the how/now/brow sounds throughout. A lot going on in here, and gracefully done.
