Free Your Soul
By Michael Tweed

Come away from the window
Lie here with me.
Share with me your joys, fears
Your beauty, love, your tears.

Blow out the candle and come to me.
Your eyes glow like embers
In the night.
Come to my arms and embrace.

Tell me your stories, your dreams
And whatever you fail to face alone.
Give me your burdens and free your soul
For the pursuit of love and life with me.

Show me your weakness and let me make it strong.
Show me your love and let me make it grow.
Show me the hidden chambers of your heart.
Show me you love me and we’ll never part.

Come to me strong and lightly and gay
Come to me often: morning, noon, and night.
Share with me what no one else knows
Don’t be afraid or cautious or shy.

Share with me a love that continues to grow
And pales by all comparison, vanquishes foes.
Do not fail to champion your goodness and right.
Do not give in to the meanness of life.

Come, come away from the window
And lie here with me.
Tell me your stories, your dreams,
Give me your burdens and free your soul.
