Double Nature
By Julia Hones
Amid the expanse of meadows
the remnant of a tree caught my attention.
Akin to the sculpture
of a wild goose
about to fly away into the sky
or to a dinosaur,
a piece of history embedded in its bones.
The duality taunted me
like a piece of artwork
reveling in its charm.
