Homespun Homily
By William C Ross

That flash of anger that sparks in your eyes
Had best not drift down to your tongue.
As the toothpaste cannot return to the tube,
So the bell cannot be unrung.
Sometimes the best words are those left unsaid
So the sad songs can be left unsung.
