I Thought You Were in Another Room That Wasn’t There

Across from the end of the bed
Kitchen draped in honey glow
Just as I was drifting off
Clang & Patter
Pots & Pans
Wondering what it was that you’d be cooking
Turned my head saw nothing there

  1. That’s happened to me. My father-in-law used to sit down on the end of the bed. He passed away many years ago. Or I would be caught up in a moment and see someone from my past that wasn’t there.
