It's just poetry, it won't bite

In This Room
By Frank Adams

Alone in these four walls
I lock the door,
draw down the shades
block out the world.
Here I dance
and sing.
These walls
do not
laugh at me.
The furniture
does not tell me
I look stupid—
that I can’t carry a tune.
This room
does not judge me.
No, in this room
I am me
and I am free.
