Memories
By Jeanette Cheezum
Every time we piled in the car and left the city;
my thoughts were filled with the peace and quiet,
of Grandma’s house.
Good smells mixed with a lot of love would lure us
through the unlocked door into her kitchen.
Followed by soft hugs and kisses we knew this
was a place of love and memories.
Yes, great memories indeed! Now we are, hopefully, providing those memories for our grandchildren.
And yes, all doors used to be unlocked once upon a time.
Thank you, Bobbie. It was another world.
