One day
By Sushant Supriye
One day
I said to the calendar—
I am not available today,
and did what I wanted to do.
One day
I said to the wrist-watch—
I am not available today,
and was lost in myself.
One day
I said to the purse—
I am not available today,
and exiled the market from my dreams.
One day
I said to the mirror—
I am not available today,
and did not see its face the whole day.
One day
I broke all the hand-cuffs
I had created.
I freed myself from
all shackles
one day.
How very nice, realistic and pointed but lyrical at same time.
