Sandy Patton’s most recent poem to appear here was Vigilant (June 2013).
After the Rain
By Sandy Patton
wet blades gently bend.
splashes of bright blooms glisten
in first light of day.
drenched in pleasure, nature sighs,
tipsy on holy water.
It's just poetry, it won't bite

I love this playful poem.
Just right, perfect utility of words to paint a crystal portrait.
