Silver Feathers
By Laura Zucca-Scott

Light as silver feathers
The snow falls on this Tuesday morning
Embracing the sky in a gentle harmony

I still remember the first snow
When I was six in Italy
I could not stop looking out the window
Wanting to touch, smell, feel, explore
Life simple and raw
Begging my Dad for a car ride

Today I am looking out the window
Wanting to feel alive
In the blistering cold
I have grown to love
I want to run
And chase snowflakes
More than ever
