Stained glass
By Christopher Roe

Moonlight through
.. a stained glass window
and blue shifts to green
.. and yellow to orange
red deepens and purple
.. dances in this light show
as it pours through the oriel
.. nestled in its flange
and fills the room
.. and lifts the very soul
and stains the floor and me
.. with its suffused glow
and I stand in my cloak
.. of many colors
beneath the moon
.. wearing its rainbow.
