Summer Haze
By Maxwell Baumbach

most of this summer
is a haze

I don’t know
if it is because
nothing too great happened
or if it’s due to lack of sleep

but
I don’t really remember it

these are supposed to be
the most important days
of my life

one of my last
real summers

but instead
all I have is fog

and

if things keep going
this way

I won’t have you for long
either

Yes, life is short and fleeting.

  2. Maxwell, this is so sad. It breaks my heart. I hope this is good poetry and not true.
