Tales of Men, Part One
By Marc Carver

The Egyptian man in the hot tub
asked me if I enjoyed a drink.
I said I did.
“Are you a heavy drinker?”
He asked.
I don’t know what gave him that idea.
“It’s my job, you see,” I told him.
He went on to ask me more.
“I will tell you the next time I see you.”
I told him.
Of course
I have no intention of ever seeing him again.
