The Piano Promise

The piano in the hotel meeting room
caught your whim and
you veered to it
on our way out to the beach.

You sat and tapped
a halting Chopsticks
then invited me to join.

I said I’d never learned,
and so we started out again,
while you said you
would show me that 
and several other things you’ve learned
before the week is ended.
