Watch is ever-fluent in uttering
a rhythmic tic-tac
meaning ‘right time’
to knock the door of El Dorado,
yet gossiping is on—face to face
with someone of interest—
adding wings to something precious
and allowing them to fly away
laying no eggs for us.
