my fear isn’t putting the thoughts to paper
but, instead
letting them be found
seeing the words that spill from my head
my fingertips
my tongue
when you aren’t nearby and
it’s easier to talk, easier to think
easier to
let it go
and pry inside myself
pull from deep down where i fold into me over
and over and over
and over and over and over and over
the anxiousness you see is merely a manifestation of insecurities
festering, breeding
like the dark scabs i pull off from places only i can see
i can feel
my fear isn’t letting it go
but, instead
not holding on.
