It's just poetry, it won't bite

Harris Tobias’ most recent poem to appear here was The Pond (May 2012).

By Harris Tobias

The weeds are back I see.
This time they have brought their friends.
It’s not like me to be inhospitable,
But this is where hospitality ends.
I dig them up and toss their bodies
In an unmarked grave.
A few days later they are resurrected
Like Jesus.
God must love the weeds,
He made so many of them.

And, we weed the gardens of soul, mind, even acquaintances.

I love the light touch of your poem about the many lives of weeds and the fact that tolerance goes only so far!

Thank you for this poem and others of yours I had the pleasure of reading here at Vox Poetica!
