Born Full Grown
By Stan Galloway

Adam, born full grown, did you have a beard?
Or did it only start to grow on that sixth day?
Eve, created fully woman, never awkward teen or carefree girl,
did your body’s cycle start the day the rib was taken?
Or was it as so many daughter’s think, resulting from the curse?
How was it to raise children, you who had never been a child?
I wonder, too, at first, what it was like at day’s end
to walk with God. In that alone we want to be like you.

Stan, always enjoy your work. Love the concept, the construction of “Born Full Grown.”
“I wonder, too, at first, what was like at day’s end
to walk with God. In that alone we want to be like you.” Exactly the right ending.
