Magenta Rising
By Ken Allan Dronsfeld

May it be an evening star
shining down upon you.
May it be when darkness falls
your heart will be calmed.
You walk the lonely road,
how far are you from home?

Darkness has finally come;
You must believe
to finally find your way.
Shadows move in rhythm;
like the beat of an egret’s wing.
A promise lives within you now.

May the calling shadows fly away.
May you journey on; light the path.
When the night is overcome;
you may awaken to find the sun.
Magenta rising in the morning sky;

Darkness comes no more.
Believe and you will
find your way.
Darkness hails now at ebb.
A promise lives within you now.
May it be; as Magenta rises.
